Drink Water, Get Pregnant

Stay hydrated! When trying to conceive it is very important to drink lots of water (about 8-10 cups a day). This helps the kidneys to flush out waste products from the body and increases fertile quality cervical fluid.

Here are just some of the many benefits of staying hydrated during the fertility process: cushions and lubricates all tissues and organs in the body facilitates the delivery of hormones throughout the body and may be helpful with enhancing follicles. Water also helps to provide better production of cervical mucus. Cervical mucus helps the sperm to reach the egg.

Joy Shared By Two

Joy oil can help bring joy to the family.

When things go a little weird in the relationship, you can diffuse it when your partner is around. Put 3-5 drops of Joy oil in your diffuser and press on. Joy oil can help restore harmony in an untuned relationship.

You can also use it as a perfume for her. Men love the scent! Just apply a few drops to your chest and neck. Caution with sunlight! Don’t use Joy oil 12 hours prior to being exposed to direct sunlight. Evenings and cloudy days are perfect. Or applying it under some clothes, where direct sunlight doesn’t arrive.

Papas Love

Most mums-to-be experience some pregnancy symptoms in their first trimester. This daily physical reminder may help you bond with your unborn baby from the start. Although your partner doesn’t have this physical experience, there are still plenty of ways to help them bond with your growing baby as your pregnancy progresses. Help your partner to feel your unborn baby’s movements. Let them know that your baby can now hear sounds outside your womb. Suggest your partner talks and reads to your baby bump. This will help your baby become familiar with their voice.

I actually had my friend tell me that she gave birth to two girls, just about 1 year apart. To one, the father spoke every night and caressed the baby bump, while the baby was still in the stomach of the mother. To the second one he never spoke. He also didn’t caress her in her mothers womb. The girls have grown to be teenagers, and the first one loves her father endlessly while the second one doesn’t care a lot about him. I was baffled by the difference a regular act of connection can make. Since I have told my man about this, he takes extra time to connect with our kids and they love him very much.

Build A Life Together

Mourning Doves normally build their nests in trees but will build them on the ground, on window ledges, or on other man-made structures if needed. The male looks for a good place to build the nest, and once he finds one he calls the female and she either approves or disapproves. When the female feels right, the build may begin! Because after all, female intuition is also an important guide to building a cozy home. Home – the result of two hearts committed to build a life together.

Enjoying a bath with your growing baby

A nice long soak is the perfect way to get away from it all and enjoy some “me time”. It’s also a great chance to devote some attention to your growing baby. Just make sure the water’s not too hot. You can also put a few drops of Young Living Lavender oil on a cup of Epsom salt and put that into your bath for an especially relaxing experience. Playing soft music in the background for a soothing ambience can also make you feel super relaxed. Simply lying still, breathing deep, relaxing completely and telling your baby how welcome it is.

You can take a few minutes to visualize yourself holding your new baby when it finally arrives. Imagine what it might look like, what you might say to them and how that first cuddle might feel.

What a nice way to enjoy being a pregnant mother!

The Magic Of Deep Breathing

Your breath is a phenomenal bridge between the conscious and unconscious because the respiratory system is both voluntary and involuntary. You don’t have to remind yourself to breathe, it just happens. But when we are mindful of our breathing we can tap into energy in the unconscious realm. Whatever state you are in, your breath will follow. If you are anxious your breath will be quick and shallow, if you are calm and relaxed your breath will be long and deep. You can also breathe to encourage different states. If you want the breath to take you to a relaxed state you can start breathing long deep full breaths and it will send signals to the brain to calm you down. This is very helpful for birthing women because the deep breath along with the sound enhances the trance state during labor.

Ways to incorporate deep breathing include bringing soothing familiar scents into the room and taking long slow deep full inhales and exhales. I love having my diffuser with frankincense or gentle baby oil running when giving birth. The smell just invites me to breathe well.

Language Of Encouragement

Courage is feeling the fear and rising to the occasion anyway. When we encourage with loving words we help ourselves to move beyond fear, keep the faith and keep on moving.

Here are some encouraging things you can tell yourself for birth:

  • My body is wise and knows how to birth my baby. I am beautiful and strong.
  • I surrender to the waves and willingly let them roll over me as they come.
  • My baby trusts me, I trust my baby and we trust this process.
